Forrester & Co., PLLC focuses on providing quality client service based upon responsive, principled and practical advice.  Beginning in 1997 with our original emphasis on serving a limited number of private family organizations, we have progressively evolved to accommodate the broader needs of a diverse clientele.  We are grateful that this evolution now affords us the opportunity to serve an expanded base of valued clients located throughout the United States.

Mack Forrester

Shareholder

Mack began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Houston, and subsequently joined Ernst & Young, LLP in Dallas. With over 30 years of experience in public accounting and industry, he has also served as a chief financial officer and a tax director for private companies. Mack has significant experience advising executives, entrepreneurs and family organizations in matters regarding business transactional structure, income tax planning and multi-generational wealth transfer planning. He has served clients in various industries including energy, commercial real estate, legal and medical professions, manufacturing and distribution. Additionally, Mack has offered expert testimony in litigation matters relating to economic damages in business disputes. Mack holds BS and BBA degrees from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Dustin Reynolds

Dusty began his career with a regional public accounting firm in the Texas Hill Country. He subsequently joined the Dallas office of Arthur Andersen, LLP, where he served a variety of tax clients in the manufacturing and retail industries. Thereafter, Dusty moved to the Dallas office of Ernst & Young, LLP, where he served as a tax manager advising corporate clients in the retail and manufacturing industries. After leaving public accounting, Dusty served in industry roles where he assisted in establishing the internal tax functions for two public companies, including service as the head of tax for over ten years with the second company. Additionally during his tenure at this company, Dusty assumed increasing responsibility for key accounting and audit roles, including Director of SEC Reporting. Thereafter, Dusty joined a PE backed start-up company where he served as the lead executive responsible for their S-1 registration process. Dusty has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and industry, principally in the tax area. He holds a BBA degree from Texas State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Traci Holcomb

Traci began her career with Deloitte & Touche, LLP in Dallas where she received valuable experience providing professional services to Corporations, Subchapter S Corporations and partnerships including those with extensive international operations. She subsequently held managerial positions in the tax departments of both public and privately held companies where her technical concentration included oil and gas issues, research and development and inventory compliance for manufacturing and retail industries as well as technology services. She served as a tax director prior to joining Forrester & Co. Traci has over 15 years of experience in public accounting and industry, and holds BBA and MS degrees from Texas Tech University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Cindy Pursell

Director

Cindy began her career with Ernst & Young, LLP in Dallas where she provided professional services to individuals, corporations, pass-through entity structures and exempt organizations. She subsequently served as a Senior Tax Analyst at Intuit, Inc. where she was involved in the design, development and maintenance of tax products including Lacerte Tax Software. Prior to joining Forrester & Co., Cindy served as a Senior Tax Associate with Anderson Tax, LLP in Dallas. She has over 20 years of experience in public accounting and industry, including tax research, preparation of private letter rulings, engagement and project management, and training of staff professionals. Cindy received her BBA from Southern Methodist University and her MS Taxation from The University of Texas Dallas. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Billie Ida Williamson

Director

Billie served as a Senior Assurance Partner of Ernst & Young LLP until her retirement at the end of 2011. She began her career at EY in 1974 and spent the first 19 years in the assurance practice, becoming a partner in 1984. She then left to become CFO of AMX Corp. in Dallas where she helped lead the Company’s successful IPO. Billie subsequently became Senior Vice President, Finance of Marriott International, Inc. in Washington, D.C. She rejoined EY in 1998 in EY’s Center for Strategic Transactions. As a senior client-serving partner at EY, Billie was responsible for some of the firm’s largest global accounts in the aerospace and defense, technology and other industries. She is a specialist in financial reporting, internal controls and compliance with complex regulations as well as accounting for family limited partnerships and trusts. Billie currently serves on the Boards of Directors of CSRA, Inc., Energy Future Holdings Corporation, Pentair plc and Extrusions, Inc. Billie previously served on the boards of Annie's, Inc., Exelis, Inc. and Janus Capital Group, Inc. prior to their respective acquisitions by General Mills, Inc., Harris Corporation and Henderson Group, plc. Billie has over 40 years of experience in public accounting and business. She graduated with a BBA from Southern Methodist University and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Thomas L. Vines, Jr.

Senior Executive Advisor

Les spent the first ten years of his career with Ernst & Young, LLP, initially in Dallas where he provided tax consulting services to real estate and corporate joint venture clients, and subsequently in Washington, D.C., where he served in the firm’s National Tax Office. He thereafter held varying roles of increasing responsibility for over 15 years at Texas Industries, Inc., including as Treasurer, Chief Accounting Officer and Director of Investor Relations. After the acquisition of TXI by Martin Marietta Materials, Inc., Les served as the Chief Financial Officer for Roofing Supply Group, Inc., including a transitional role during and after the company’s acquisition by Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. Les has over 30 years combined public accounting, industry finance, and accounting experience, including extensive experience in implementing solutions to the tax, accounting, financial and people issues that arise in complex transactions. He currently provides a broad range of financial consulting services, including public company readiness assessments and financial executive coaching. While he appreciates the importance of all financial and accounting regulatory requirements, Les believes the primary purpose of the finance and accounting functions is to provide timely information and insight to the business’ decision makers. Les received a BBA from Hardin Simmons University and a MS in Taxation from Baylor University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.

Karen Whigham

Senior Client Service Associate

Karen is a senior client specialist with over 25 years of experience. Prior to joining Forrester & Co., she held positions of increasing responsibility in the accounting departments of both public and privately held companies. She has successfully worked with management to identify and implement streamlined accounting processes which enhance productivity and efficiency. She has also compiled and analyzed monthly budget reports and cost studies to assist relevant decision makers. Karen has extensive experience with OGsys, a comprehensive Oil and Gas accounting software system, as well as various other general ledger software. Karen holds a BS degree from Auburn University.

Amy has over 20 years of business and accounting experience with private and not-for-profit organizations. She has served in a variety of financial service support roles during her tenure with the firm and currently focuses her efforts on providing family office services to our clients, including processing client receipts, disbursements and account reconciliations on a monthly basis.

Jodi Gab

Jodi has over 20 years of experience in the fields of business and accounting. She provides monthly transactional reporting and data capture for clients involved in the energy industry, including monthly working interest and royalty revenue receipts, JIB activity and reconciliation of operator advances. She recently rejoined Forrester & Co. after accompanying her spouse on a four-year diplomatic assignment, during which time she was employed at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela. Jodi holds a BA degree from Northern State University.

Rachael serves as the firm administrator and is responsible for supporting all client service activities in addition to all office administrative functions. Prior to joining Forrester & Co., she held a variety of management positions in a national retail and distribution organization.
